1. Michelle Obama wrote one of Yara's recommendation letters for college. Yara got accepted into every college she applied for! #BlackGirlMagic

Black-ish star Yara Shahidi is going to Harvard in 2018. Shahidi, who was accepted  at every college to which she applied, had to face the same difficult choice of every incoming freshman: where should she spend the next few formative years of her life? But this decision might not have been a hard one for her. One of Shahidi’s mentors—and the author of one of her recommendation letters—was none other than Michelle Obama, Harvard alumna and the mother of incoming Harvard freshman Malia Obama, who will start there this fall as well.

2. Yara will be attending Harvard University. She is also portraying a Freshman in college on the show she stars in, Grown-Ish.

Not only is she attending Harvard but she is the personification of "Life Imitating Art." The notion that an event in the real world was inspired by a creative work. She is off to college this year while acting as a Freshman in college on the show Grownish! How fun is that?
